Is it true that the best stories ever written don’t have smut?

I noticed that the best stories tend to be wholesome and have this “holier-than-thou” attitude when it comes to smut. Just look at Naoki Urasawa’s stories, and they don’t have sex.

I find the stories I like the most don't have smut, but that doesn't mean smut can't be a good story.

We tend to forget that the majority of people don't spend as much time on the internet as those of us super active in forums like this, however, smut does well in real life too. Just look at Game of Thrones and a lot of the R rated movies now.

Just weird smut doesn't do well. When I say weird, I mean things like tentacled monsters, polygamy, etc... things that the majority of people do not like.

A major factor why Game of Thrones became famous are the boobs, can't deny that. Not smut I'd say, but the sex sells expression covers it. If it didn't have any boobs, it would've attracted less people. Boobs and sex attracted many, then they stayed for the good story (of the early seasons), then those people also told others it had boobs + good story. Would GoT become as big without the boobs? I don't think so. If those sex scenes are pornographic or art depends on the person, but sex sells is the important takeaway.
