So, you know that first scene in Up where they show the old guy and his wife are living their day-to-day slog? Well, it brought me on the verge of tears. For a number of reasons. But it also made me wonder...

Do any of you have secret dreams that unfortunately never worked out? Mine was to join the Air Force before I learned I get motion sickness.

I wanted to backpack Europe and even saved up all the money, bought the gear, then Covid hit and travel was banned.

I also wanted to try living off the grid in Yellowstone for 6 months illegally but that has been harder to convince myself trying as time passes.

At one point I was planning to go to school to be a jeweler. There is a world renown school for jewelers/goldsmiths in the city near me. Though since I dropped out and got equivalency my chances of getting accepted were slim.

I was lucky that I was somewhat interested in what my father did for work, and that the community college closest to my home had an aviation management program. Because of that I have plenty of nepo baby connections I can leverage

My wish is to be able to know and understand about arabic language. My dream is to live alone anywhere in a humble one-story house, chilling by myself, doing my daily activities which includes work at my pace, and gradually increasing my life quality alongside getting a soul mate.

Coincidentally, that second part is how Up started. But if you really want to fly your house to South America after said soul mate turns out to be infertile and perishes tragically, just make sure to pack a spare GPS. And check the weather forecast the day before or you might run into a storm and end up in the Land of Oz.
