I think, as long as you're sufficiently getting the image you want to describe across, you don't need to necessarily rely on big words.

Sometimes, forcing such words into descriptions can make for a jarring experience if not done well.

I have a vague decade old memory of some kind of specialized dictionary for poets.
If that doesn't work, try googling "synonyms for________"
Last but not least, look up terms for design in particular. Fashion, anatomy, interior design, architecture, and landscaping terms will probably allow for some killer settings and character design. Geography and maybe occultism will help any fantasy you intend on writing (Note: I know nothing about any of these topics, just look into the subjects you think you will use, we live in a world with Google.)

Being descriptive isn't about using big words. It's about using as much a lot of words to get across a feeling or action, though actions don't read well with long descriptions. Instead of writing, "He was happy." Instead you would write:

His mother broke the news to him. He stared at her, starry eyed. A grin spread across his lips unconsciously as he resisted the urge to jump her and squeeze her. Finally! He could finally learn all about the sky above him that he stared at day and night. Squeezing the acceptance later to space school, tears fell from his face, and he thanked her for everything she did for him.

See. Not a single big world used outside of unconsciously. You don't need big words to be descriptive. You just need to describe a feeling without actually outright saying what that feeling is.

Some stories are nothing more than long poems known as epics.
Personally i like descriptive writing, i read novels for fun, if i wanted a bland formal writing structure, I'd search for a textbook.

Read more, the best way to improve vocabulary is by reading more, and I don't mean things like webnovels. I mean real published books, adult novels with more mature grammar, or even god forbid, the kind of books you read in English class.

personally, I found Lolita quite an interesting read, despite the eyebrows it might raise.

I also, enjoyed Sula, Norwegian Wood, and Things Fall Apart.

writing a webnovel is the same as writing a novel, except simplified, the fundamentals must not be forgotten.

Why?

Is the story X-porn? Meaning: Is it Dress porn? Or combat porn? Or Handsome Prince porn?

I only get around to describing something unless it's important to the story. There's a point where description hurts your story. But if the point is the description, then look up other people's work on the subject and steal it. Then rewrite it. Do that for a few years. Sorry, but there are no short cuts.
