I regretted reading this. By the time I realized what I was in for, it was too late, and I couldn't just stop reading. It is a tragedy. Quite thoroughly a tragedy. Much more thorough of one than I'm used to seeing. I'd normally tell people not to read this, but since you're asking for pain... well, I'm not sure if this is the most tragic story I've read, but it's certainly the one that stuck in my memory the most strongly. (Possibly related to the type of tragedy that it is.)

I'm sure that something I wrote would be good enough to depress you. Or bore you. For some good misery porn, I think Feeling Small might do the trick.

For works I didn't make, I suggest Doubt. That manga's ending made me nearly vomit out of pure despair back when I still had emotions.
