I just want to hear some people's reason to like a genre, it doesn't mean I don't like it.

I love Fantasy because you can create a world of your own, I have my head in the clouds a lot.

Sorry big newbie what is a litrpgs

I love harems because it allows for so much char development and interactions between an interesting cast if well done.

I love tragedies coz I love stories that can bring out and evoke raw emotions within me if well done.

Literature, RPGs. When a story borrows elements from Role Playing Games as part of the story. Distinguished from GameLit by not needing to be inside a video game.

The core of LitRPG is having stats of some kind, be they attributes, skills, levels, or titles that can be advanced through certain actions.

(If you have stats, but they can't be advanced, that's the minor tag Game Elements instead.)

I like Science Fiction. It's nice to be able to imagine something actually happening, instead of just going, "Ah, that's cool, but too bad it's impossible." I also like Fantasy, but pairing the two is great.

Also, if it's a harem, the chance of your ship sailing smoothly is a bit higher.
Aye but not always, unless you are on the first girl / popular girl ship.

The endings tend to be either ambiguous or harem end (alright for your ship) or 1 girl/boy only or a fucking disaster (not so alright for your ship)

Not that such a minor thing is gonna stop me from sinking together with my waifu/husbando.

this is exactly why I made this thread, to see people's reasons
Cause most harems are plain wish-fulfillment, just like many other genres.
Every single genre tbh...
Also a lot of people think this way but a certain genre or tag does not inherently imply that the novel is more likely to be shit or good. Also, even plain straight up wish fulfillment novels have their place ~

That's why I said chances are a bit higher. As for wish-fulfillment, I don't know why I didn't say every genre. You are right here. And maybe it sounded like that, but I haven't said that wish fulfillment is inherently bad.
