Writing I need assistance with another scene

Hello guys, gals and enby pals.

I have a scene that I don't half ass cause it is important for character development of my MC, a supporting character and plot for a huge part of the story.
It might be a bit confusing but I'll try explaining as best that I can.

After the advice from my previous post, I settled on the little sister using aggression and reasoning to quell the mob and go back to their lives.
During the attack one knight fled the battle after sustaining heavy injuries and seeing that the village was doomed with most of the knights dead, she fled to the forest behind the village knowing that the invading armies or citizens won't enter due to it being a death trap and not worth it.
The knight survives, but she's sustained even more injuries from all the hostile monsters in the forest.
The knight is about to leave the forest to head back to the village that she assumes is destroyed and barren, only to find the MC heading into the woods with her ogre GF.
The MC notices the knight and the two confront her out of curiosity.

Also, side note that only Zirrboy might understand, the problem I had with the MC taking over the village will be taken care of in the future, but right now, that isn't important.

My problem now is that I need to let the knight join the MC after telling her she's going to rule over the village, but I do not know how to go about doing this.
I have made it clear that she's unhappy with her former/current life and wished for change, power and to have meaning in her life, if that helps anyone

Once again I shall do my upmost to avoid a straight answer.

Depends on what hooks you have placed on the knight and how many Enri knows of.

The main temptation of joining Enri would probably be power, so if the knight is one to yearn for it, she could get her with that.

There are other options, too, but I don't think they'd fit the theme of the main cast, provided you want to make her one. In addition you'd have to make further changes in her portrayed character, which might only be partially possible.
