From now on, my posting schedule for my book will be 8:00 PM EST, but I'll still update every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I made this decision because I'm quite the night owl due to my two jobs and also because my doctor told me to get more rest during the day. My health's been pretty low this month, physically and perhaps even mentally. I had to take some Ibuprofen after breakfast, so I hope y'all understand. Stay tuned! ?

P.S. I'm gonna post a "chapter" about the same statement on this site and RR tonight.

might be me but I've had 3 people trauma dump me and 4 tell me they're feeling depressed. Is it just me or is christmas this year not very jolly?

Meh. My whole country's been feeling that lately, but on the plus side, I'm far from depressed. I'm just inching closer to chronic back pain, that's all. I need to take a load off, hopefully enough to make me live for the next year.

statistically, the holidays are the most depressing time of year. Winter blues (less sunlight), people with no family to celebrate with, winter is hard on housing and vehicles, not to mention wallets for heating. Some people feel hungrier than usual this time of year for a biological instinct to "fatten up" to store calories for winter, which further strains the wallet. And all of this adds more fuel to the annual bugs that go around every winter. This creates a vicious cycle - You're stressed over money, which makes you sick, which strains the wallet and causes more stress over the wallet.

In short, if something CAN go wrong, it's far more likely to go wrong during the winter season, especially around the holidays.

I also want to say that not all of these apply to everyone. Merely that these are commonly pointed out as problems faced in the winter.

I instinctively hate christmas not just because it is the time when my wallet bleeds the most.

It is also the time when accidents happen and help isn't there. Think "Japan New Year where the elderlies eat sticky riceball called mochi and them suffering from choking" type accident.

Have you lived in the time before "comercialisation"? It's just... it started in 1880s with gift giving supported by big companies, coca cola Santa in 1930 and reached peak by around 1980 black Friday sales ^^ You must be very old to remember the old days without all that.
