Yeah, that's the problem though. I'm not into smut or harem, and I'm a dude so I can't really wrap my head around the inner mechanics of GL romance. I'm totally down with writing a trans character and slapping on the Gender Bender tag, though.

Well, I'm a dude as well, but I'm comfortable writing GL, not GB.

And that's basically what preferences are.
