I finished volume one in my new series, which I won't post until all volumes are done. Before it, I wrote a couple of novellas, and didn't have many hopes that I will be able to write something that reached 50k words. But I managed it, and I have ideas for the second book, which I plan to be just as long. Heck, I have plans for the two books after that. I do hope I manage to write a 200k long book again. Maybe even 250k book, to break my current record? Although, I have no idea what the additional book would be about, even though I set up a mystery in book one, that I plan to be the main theme in the following books.

The writing process took me 8 days. The next book will probably be done in 10, though, because I feel like I am getting tired of writing more than 5k words per day, and then editing them. On the upside, I already have the series cover. So, I have that going for me, which is nice.

Congratulations!
As someone trying to complete one, it is horribly difficult to complete a volume.

You are a writer. You are not allowed to be happy or take pride in any achievement. Stop that shit right now. Pride in your work is a writer's kryptonite. The moment you feel you are doing good and achieving stuff, it's all over. Here, let me help:

Nothing you do will every be good enough. Other people have done far more with far less. The one constant in all your failed relationships is you. Chances are you are at the peek of your life. Everything is down hill from here and so you will need to work harder than ever just to maintain this level of mediocrity. What you did was a good start. Now get back to work and write another book, because if you write enough, maybe someday you will be worthy of love from another human being, but I doubt it.

Because you are a writer.

Now get this on a T-Shirt:

I AM AN AUTHOR
Pain is my fuel and life makes me use the self-service pump

You are a ball of sunshine, aren't you? Writing is the only thing that makes me happy, if I don't allow for it to make me happy, how will I ever be happy? I won't take your advice.
