There's a rule in comedy known as "The Rule of Three."

Three jokes in a given scene ... and then move on. There's nothing to be gained by dragging something out.

Pro Tip: Don't force the humor. Unless you're Mel Brooks and rapid-fire humor is your brand, let the humor emerge organically.
