What's a daoist? The closest thing I encountered to it is that my initial name in WebNovel is Daoist2807.

Thanks for clearing it up!

I mean, most 'Daoists' even in xianxia aren't really daoist at all. The concept of Wu Wei is diametrically opposed to the extreme heavy-handed methods and nature of most cultivators in the genre.

Oh my my. Not talking about a real world practicing daoist. LOL. Only talking about fantasy writing daoists.

Exactly what it means. Maybe I should explain further. When we say dao in fantasy, we are simply refering to the way/path of fantasy genre writing. That's why we have daoists in every possible genre.
If you say it's the same with webnovel, well...

"Dao

  1. (in Chinese philosophy) the absolute principle underlying the universe, combining within itself the principles of yin and yang and signifying the way, or code of behaviour, that is in harmony with the natural order. The interpretation of Tao in the Tao-te-Ching developed into the philosophical religion of Taoism."
If this isn't what you meant, are you asking what genre of fiction I enjoy reading? -.-

Yea, the second part. The genre you love to read or write. That's your dao genre.
