Somewhat, but in reality, they'd probably wear regular plate armor, maybe with accentuated breasts much like how male armor had cod pieces. The concept of the breast only armor and stuff is hot, but mostly worthless. They'd probably dress as Joan of arc is drawn

• It boost the morale of the men in battle. (AoE)
• If worn, ladies could discern who are the most gentleman among their attackers. (Green Flags hit the metal plates; Red Flags hits unprotected parts; ScumBags hit the straps.)

I'm not saying it is a Gender-Equal Armor, but it is a Gender-Equal Armor.

While there were some examples of breast armor, women mostly wore standard armor. Normal armor is shaped in a way that redirects arrows, adding on it to fit breasts would make the armor worse at deflecting or even direct blows closer to your vitals if it caught in the valley of the armor.

Whatever they might protect, they at least don't protect modesty.
True.. modesty is not on the list of the intended part to be protected
Why should a fantasy armor be practical?
Wake up :sweating_profusely:

I am speechless :blob_joy:

Because fantasy doesn't automatically mean anything makes sense. Armour can be both fantasy-like and practical. The "look, dragon in the sky" argument I always found to be poor.
It depends on what a person considers to be fantasy-like. If you simply add some frills or tassels and call it fantasy armor, not everyone are going to agree with you.

Depends on what kind of fantasy it is. Obviously in low-fantasy people are going to use more realistic armor. What about high fantasy? What about cultivation novels? As for the elephant in the room, bikini armor. Why people never question armor of male barbarians? Conan is ok, but bikini armor is not?

Lastly. If you simply add bikini armor just because, I agree it looks bad. If you give proper explanation on why it exists I'm okay with it. Example. There is a tribe that doesn't have the resources, so they wear stuff like that. It is not practical, and even they know it, but they were fighting like that for centuries, so now they kinda got used to it.

I'd say at least the mobility-based ones make some sense. Less clothes mean less weight, means less hindrance. But everything else is style over substance unless explained in-lore. "They give better stats" isn't an excuse, tho.

I'd like to see more exotic full-body armor designs, but I'm also one of those weirdoes that like uniforms and full outfits more than skimpy ones.

Because you can't stack the virgin plate chest armor with 4 AC and the +10 chad nipple piercings that grants basic attack 100% daze chance.

The only armour females need in a fantasy world is a lock to their door, and the keys with the men of the house. Stay at home women! This is not a world for the weak and feeble, your nightmares are thousands of times brighter than our dreams, your hands crumble even to the weight of petals..... You shall be nothing but a burden to men, unless...

You weild the powers of seduction! Yes! Make yourself useful and be the succubus you were meant to be! All men shall kneel before you, the blades shiver at the shine of your supple skin, the rage quelled by your heavenly voice.

Yes! I now know the kind you must wear...

Ps: seriously though, i doubt it would be any different than the ones men wear. Maybe a few more bends at the chest area, other than that...same. practicality all depends on how broken the powers are

I have yet to see a sculpted breast armor. Full-plate cuirass with sculpted or engraved breasts in the style of muscle chest piece of the Greco-Roman world...

The one thing that bugged me the most is that people disregarded the culture/tradition surrounding such blatant displays of flesh in a setting that clearly didn't worship skimpy outfits as much as we modern folk do. If you change the setting accordingly, then I am fine with that. But just take medieval, and put bikini armor into it? Get the fuck outta here.

Everything came down to context, really. If they are entertainer, gladiatrix, sure! But a life or death battle? Hell nah. People often forget how little the brain cares for horniness when a tidal wave of heavy cal shock troop is bearing down at you, or you at them

I think what a lot of people forget is that armor is only good if you can move in it.
It also depended on where you fought and what your purpose was.
Archers who had to be nimble didn't wear as much armor as the front line soldiers.

Some warriors like the picts fought naked and caused more problems.
Vikings didn't really have much armor either, but since they did a lot of hit and run it didn't make sense to have it.

I don't have a problem with fantasy armor being skimpy.
In history, well decorated armor meant something, and skimpy armor can easily improve moral or distract the enemy.

Personally, I like less revealing armors on most characters. Unless they are like a barbarian or amazon. But I won't be giving a pass to that random adventurer girl who goes out and fights dangerous monsters.

I thought they were pretty well-armor for their time, no? Chain-mail and spectacle helm were the best of their time.

Maybe if they were just raiding a small monastery, then they wouldn't be all that. But on the battlefield, absolutely decked out! There was a special mention that in the battle of Stamford Bridge, one of the reason the Viking lost the battle was because they were caught off-guard in their camp, without their heavier armor on (They were stored on their ship waiting to unload). The Vikings were forced to fight with just their weapon, shield, and light armor instead of the English's fully armored army
