If you publish works on here; how long do make your posts? Meaning how long is your word count in each chapter. Is their a general guide to knowing how long a update is. Because for me personally, each update varies from 1,000 and more.

There have been a lot of threads about this, and the general consensus is between 1k to 4k words (Don't quote me on that). Although, I have seen people say longer.

I’ve gravitated towards at least a minimum of 2000 words personally but it was kind of all over the place for a while from 1500 to 2500. I think 2000 words may be a little too much to post each time and especially I do mine every weekday, so five days a week. The main factor is you want to be consistent. Whatever you do try to do it sustainably and consistently.

Personally, 1.2k - 2.5k, but I've done chapters with uh... 30 - 35k words (do NOT do this). Reason being is that a reader is going to struggle finding where they left off if they put your story aside.

IMO, min 1k, max 2K-3K, depending on what the contents of the chapter is.

1k-2k is favourable. You could split a 3K chap into 3 chapters. The rationale being that more chapters = more time on the front page + frequent updates = more growth.

I don't have a consistence word count, I just write until I felt satisfied with what I'm trying to convey. But I do have a rule about the minimum amount: about 1k+

~2-2.5k seems the sweetspot to me. Both as a reader and writer.

I remember trying to do 3k chapters for one of my prototype stories, did not go well. Was way too slow at writing them. Now my current story has a set 14000 min for normal chapters. But I do plan to post a (Chapter length is whatever I feel like) story to see if that's a better way for me to write.

I've been meaning on posting a story that is one sentence per chapter, but the sentence is in the title, so you can just read the story by reading all the chapter titles in order, and then posting one per day. It'd work out to about one full chapter a year and it'd be around 80 chapters, so if I posted it in advance, it'd be done around the turn of the next century, long after I'm dead.

I started off with around 1k, but it has grown as I've gained more experience writing. Now I tend to do 1.6k-2.4k though I still don't write enough.

15 mins at least to read the chapter. Having chapters that take less time than that make it seem like it is more like reading essays than chapters having to click next chapter ever 5 to 10 mins is not enjoyable.
