How hard have you 'fucked' with someone else's story?

The context is about your experience of making derivative works or perhaps you just came across a story and you felt you can write them better. Nevertheless, you end up with a happy abomination

One good example of this hard fuckery is probably My Immortal, a Harry Potter fanfiction, deranged OC Sonic characters and Teletubbies having sex (I actually came across them in Fanfiction net but forgot the link, but it exists). There's also one about Anne Frank x Goku on Youtube. Not to mention it's animated and voiced.

My story actually started as a fanfiction (I won't say what fandom) and eventually turned into what it is now. It began as always, my edgy self-insert OC being another member of the main gang but I soon ditched that idea. My OC then began working solo tackling the main villain since that's more hardcore than a team and the power of friendship. Who needs friends, anyway? I later realized that's stupid because my OC is "stealing" the spotlight, so I ditched it again and made up a new, secondary villain so the heroes can still do their thing and my OC doesn't steal the show. Then I created my own gang of OCs with blackjack and hookers, separated from the main canon team, and went with that. I kept developing the story, the characters, and the events and later realized I liked my OCs more than the canon characters. My edgy teenage fanfiction became so different from the canon universe that I realized I didn't even need the canon universe and characters anymore, I effectively created my own. So I went with that. My self-insert edgy teenager hardcore OC turned into a completely different thing with the years and ultimately completely ditched him altogether.

So yeah, I fucked pretty hard.
