How do merchants behave? Or I mean capitalists. How do I made one believable

First of all, don't believe a word they say. They're out to make money and don't care about what you actually need, so decide what you need before interacting with them.

Merchants make money. Give merchant a reason to make money, adding stakes that'll make him want/need to make money. Whether that's through honest means in some market town or underhanded means in the black market, make him have a reason and go from there. And you find this reason by asking narrative question. Is he in debt? Does he owe people trying to squeeze him for money? Does he have a family to take care of? Or is he on his own after his family disowned him? Is he a former crook trying to make an honest living? Or is he somebody going down the drain of catering to more and more disreputable clients with illegally gotten goods? Etc.

Those are ok people just like you and me. They just buy and sell and make some profit. They are the grease oil of our society

Or I mean capitalists

Those people deserve to burnt alive along with their families so that their tainted blood no longer sullies the human gene pool.

How do I made one believable

Just write a person for the merchant and none for capitalists. I can't believe a creature so disgusting even exists.

The big merchants should own the govt and use it to get what they want. The govt is their biggest customer anyway.
