Uhm... It's a me again, the newbie Scribblehubber, or scribbler, or scribbledadadoo.

I just want to ask you the veteran readers of Shub, how you usually find new stories to read? In terms of the site, I mean.
Do you only click what's on Trending? Latest series? Or the uh... Newly Updated? The signatures? Or is the author promoting it somewhere, or maybe even messaging directly?

Thank you for taking the time to read! Hopefully this will also help future writers in the future for whatever reason :blob_melt:

I regularly look through trending stories, and occasionally search tags I like for interesting stories.

Though in the real world, I usually set a trap at a bookstore, baited with a few dollars, and see what it catches. Usually in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy area, but not always.

I have a rather unconventional method for finding new stories. I first check out aggregator sites (since a book has to have a certain popularity to get scrapped by them) and then cross check it on the main platform.

Unless I'm looking for something specific, I won't check the main platforms first, I rather leave filtering out the good stuff to the aggregators.

We follow recommendations from friends. So, can't vote in that poll, because none of those are options we use.

Asking for recommendations or receiving them without asking. No harem, no romance, prefer single perspective. Hit me with it.
And if it has less than twenty chapters, I won't read it unless we are good mates.
