I read books across many genres and for me genre is a backdrop. I read for the characters and their truth. As a result my books do not conform to genre norms in the slightest. My stories follow character psychology rather than conventional plot beats. I know I am in an uphill battle but on this site how well do they do and how easy is it to find your core readership?

I mean, a rough genre-description of my serial could be "A slice of life de-gamified dungeon core with cultivation-lite aspects included into all forms of gaining power, with a very strong romantic B-plot"

Genres are only a starting point. And someone always write the first of any genre.

Figure out the main genres that you want or know that your story has and mix the rest into the tags. Genre blending is an art form unto itself.

Like he says.

Or just realize that the most popular genres are the most popular for a reason. If I style my hair with a swoop on one side and the other buzzed, I just have to realize my opinion on what makes a good haircut might, possibly, be flawed or only apply to me.
