Simple. Anything to ask for, to a dev, will never work. And will be like throwing a pebble to the sea.
See how youtube, manga websites, even the famous nhentai, got crappy-old-type tagging ? Only NU got a good tagging system by allowing users to participate. nhentai sure could be better by having more tags like "vanilla" or "reverse rape", "ponytail", "comedy" etc.
This thing also can be applicated for games and browsers. Look at all this big games that fail horribly recently (coughBF2042coughCYBERPUNKcough), when they could simply hire just a few kids to test them before launch. Making you wonder if devs even play their games or because companies force them to make it that bad to get popularity as anger is better then being ignored.
Look at "brave browser" that don't even have the function of "Ask before closing a window with multiple tabs" which fucked lot of people that misclick and got precious tabs. Scribblehub is allied with NU but somehow they also got a old school tagging.
NU's idea of allowing users to help tagging is so crazy rare to find on internet, that you even wonder if there is a hacker or an AI or a mind control ESP guy that want NU to keep the exclusivity because it's too useful. I am joking of course but damn you begin to wonder if all websites' staff are crazy or it's you that is crazy. Because even a kid that use them would know that having more tags is useful and could make the website better. Or maybe NU bought the copyright and punishing for 50 billions dollars if anyone dare having the same.
Btw youtube don't even a function to download videos. But there are ton of websites out there that allow you to help you do the job.
VLC the number 1 known video player, for some reason still don't have lot of functions that fans of songs would want.
Discord could solve all problems of "hacking trap by a fake nitro link" by removing "gifting nitro".
It's like like what our parents always told us when young "If you want something done, you can only count on yourself".
I got a personal saying on my own about this topic too [Anything on the web is 50-70% perfectly done. 80-85% if the creator team truly love it + having money. And 100% if we had futuristic "black technology"]
I use scribble hub to write down plot scenarios and ideas for stories whenever inspiration hits like a truck outta nowhere, and now I was wondering if there was a way to just download them all, just in case anything happens to them.
Also i think you should the ultra classic technique of "keep paper+pen at arm range" that authors that got the same problem used since long ago.
