is this a fairly interesting premise? (also just a bit of advice for people that live in sf. don't eat ice cream out in the cold because you'll probably catch a cold like me)

so this buff college student from the department of sports died one day. And he had a sister that loved to read nonsenseical Mary Sue novels. his name is the same as the name of the female protagonist (Aly, guy's name. allysa protagonist of Mary Sue name) well he took a look at the cover and read the first page describing the protagonist and her first member of the harem's first meeting.

he wakes up isekaied into this novel as the female protagonist...

but the twist is, his body to everyone else is the original Mary Sue's but in his own eyes he is still a 6 foot tall buff male. so when he wears a school uniform, other's see a cute girl while he himself sees a muscled guy who wearing obviously too small clothes.

he's also straight so not interested in the original male leads. not a bl.

To give some honest feed back gender bender is a popular genre and you’re practically guaranteed to get at least a small audience, but there are certain things gender bender fans generally don’t like.

This is definitely an interesting idea and would be something to set your story apart from others, but unless the story is purely a comedy, I can’t see readers enjoying it very much. If I were you I’d fully commit to the genderbend, it may make the story a bit more bland, but I believe it will see more positive reception, and get more readers. If that’s not something you’re concerned with than don’t worry about it.
