Some novels had done a good job with the OP ability to see the future like the fanfic Kallen Stadtfeld, Countess of Britannia with the power being nerfed until Kallen can only see hers and her loved ones deaths and to alter the timeline accordingly.
Some had did a poor job like the CN that featured a dude who got Nuwa's eye that allowed him to see the future and continuously grind until he finds an optimal path to do things. The failure of this work is from the fact that the MC has no limit in using the thing and thus, the lack of any danger killed the work. It also helps that the MC is an asshole.
The work that I am currently reading is a bit fresh because the MC has a system that allows him to run a short text simulation of his future (that always ends with death) and lets him choose one of the three rewards by the end of the simulation. The first one is power level, if MC has a low power level and his simulated future has a higher power level, he can pick it and gain that level. The second is skills, as in all the combat techniques he learned, he can gain them if he choose the second option. The third is imho the lamest option because it grants MC crucial memories of the life he simulated and this actually overlapped with the second option tons of time. The times the third option was chosen was when MC wanted to know hidden locations and treasures. The limitation to the power is money.
Is there anything that have a similar vibe? Thanks.
