So I am currently trying to finish my latest chapter of the story so I can go on a month of hiatus due to exams, I have scheduled many chapters already.

I am writing a fighting scene and would love tips to improve it, if possible, I would like to discuss on discord, else I may have to attach the entire chapter here.

Edit: NVM i will just attach it here.

Fighting scene references I reccomend :

Fate zero Novel

You know how good is Fate Zero anime fighting scenes. Now you know they had Novel as well. You can compare Novel source and Anime adaptation.

Theyre more reasonable and understandable than Fate UBW and Fate Heaven feel. They're cool Anime with cool story, but comparing the source and adaptation is rather hard, in comparison to Fate/Zero which is rather direct.

Not to mention we have to ignore important plot point from Fate Stay night 2006 anime, which was a good 2000s romance story, but not the best.

Re Zero Novel

Re zero Novel and Anime had really good fighting scenes, they're about matchup and tactic as well. Despite how the Anime is full of details, in comparison to other anime, they had cut a lot of details from novels, including the details in fighting too.

Especially with similar and familisr people winning and losing in different scenarios depends on how Subaru make them battle each other.

You can see the same character fights and battle again and again. With different win condition and different way they win/lose.

Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song

The same author as Rezero. But this is mroe of Urban modern cyber world terminator style fight. Human vs robot vs cyborg fisfight in different modern environment.

Konosuba

Konosuba seems like comedy, but comedy is the HARDEST type of story to write. Because making jokes requires you to be very competent and gain expertise of the topic youre making fun of.

Their fight scenes may seem straightforward, but we must realize that konosuba is also making fun of other fighting scenes in other isekai story that seemingly complex, yet it can be very simplified in practice.

Combatants Will Be Dispatched!

Made by the same author as Konosuba.

This time were using modern cyber protagonist vs Isekai heroes. Very good comedy, very good combat fight, a bit more than Konosuba.

They use rather varieties of uncommon environment in comparison to Konosuba and other animes and stories.

Thats all the source of stories i reccomedn to read.

They're not the best or most accurate fight in thw world, but were talking about fantasy fight here, and those were my go to.

I THINK Story_Marc had a video on this.
I know I used to see discussions of this a lot on another platform that I used to use (most of those, however, were teasers to get people to buy books or video classes about the subject).
There was also another thread in here, about the time I joined (so roughly a year ago) that should be searchable.

The scene is okay. Most people reading LitRPG or average Isekai content won't have any major issues with it.

In my opinion it's about twice as wordy as it needs to be, and the pre-fight content is rather dull, but that may be due to a lack of context.

If you write everything in this manner you can probably find reasonable success with your target audience.

EDIT :

Fate/Zero Novel :

I thought you're asking where to watch Fate series from. But you simply ask where to read fate zero novel. My mistake.

The link above were the complete english fan translation of Fate/Zero.

But if youre interested in the way on how to watch the whole fate series, see below.

*************************************************

To understand Fate series, you can start from watching here : https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1mAn3eU6or_c3CNir0umPhuaI7DKpCif_?usp=sharing&pli=1

That was my starting point to watch Fate series. Fan edit version of 2006 Fate/Stay Night.

Read the notes inside for more explanation.

After watching, then watch Fate/Unlimited Blade works 2014, the full 2 season. Theyre made by Ufotabke studio, and they have extremely great animation, as you'll see in the eps 0 of the Fate stay night Fan edit.

Lots of cinematic fight.

Then watch the movie trilogy of Fate/Heaven Feel, from Ufotable as well :
Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel - I. Presage Flower
Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel - II. Lost Butterfly
Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel - III. Spring Song

Even more cinematic fight and mastery of animation.

After the three movies, then you can finally watch Fate/Zero.

It was the prequel, but story wise, they contain so much spoilers for the three route of the story.

Fate/Zero, Like a greek tragedy it is written in a way that assumes you know that all those characters will end up ruining themselves. You are supposed to know how all ends and what matter sis the journey till that end.

Because it was the event that leads to Fate/Stay night.

Fate/Stay night fans on reddit will reccomend to start from VN. But I don't like VN, because I hate the clunky slow reading way of VN, and full Fate VN takes 60 hour to complete, 20 hour each route.

I prefer the Fate Stay Night Anime, as it only takes around 8 hour and complete story of the Fan edit Stay night route (the first route).

And the next hours watching Fate Unlimited Bladeworks and Heaven Feel would be worth it rather than reading the VN.

And finally watching Fate/Zero feels worth it.

This is the torch that was passed to me, and now I pass it to you.
