It has been going on my head almost always.
The part about the genitalia must be confusing (or not) to explain, so onto the main prompt…

Futanari, or hermaphrodite girls in hentai are really infamous for being sex-obsessed and promiscuous. I know it’s more for the ‘plot’, but it sometimes makes me stop to wonder what if it’s not by choice, but by need or something like that?
One theory I have in mind is that it could be due to hormonal roller coasters, since they have both genitalia, and with it, they would enter in a state similar to Musth, in IRL elephants.

Scientifically speaking, humans aren't usually hermaphrodites. Every instance where it happens is a case by case thing, so you'll never get a clear answer unless you look into a specific individual. In most cases though, it's not really what you're expecting.

People also really aren't as driven by hormones as books and tv might make you think. It's definitely a factor, but it's not mind control.

Generally speaking, if you want to fetishize futanari this way, it's going to have to stay fiction.
