Like for example, in naruto fanfics there's always a constant trope of like if there is a non naruto MC, they will steal hinata away from naruto and Mizuki will be fucked in the ass. Any other fanfic tropes yall noticed?
The one where the MC *is* Hinata was really good (A Strange New Life) up to where I’ve read. I’ve never been more scared of Orochimaru in my life (which is to say, I’ve never been scared of them before: but i should have been).
I’ve noticed some, but I worry that what I read has influenced my view of what is tropical about them, i.e. I Will Touch The Skies has spawned enough reiterations in its (very wonderful) wake that I might associate Pokey Man fanfics with girls love, but this is likely less a fair comparison than it is an observation of my particular taste — as with everything that has generated in the same world as Stray Cat Strut.
So I’m going to take the low hanging fruit:
Fanfic writers everywhere seem to agree that Jean Grey got things rather bad enough in the original(s): so she becomes the badass she was always meant to be without a tenth of the trauma associated (or at least the trauma comes from a new place in the AU) in every rendition *I* have seen of her in a fanfic.
Which is cool, cuz she’s cool, and Xavier can (I have words I will not unleash upon this monster who is deserving of every one of them, it would take me all day).
