Resolved Forum Editor controls (B/I/_ etc.) stop working

Forum Editor controls stop working. Like they're disabled. It's happening right now. Highlight text, press bold, nothing happens.

Restarting browser doesn't help. Sometimes the editor works. Sometimes it doesn't. Haven't found a pattern. Tried several browsers.

LOL. Everything you just did. Not working for me. Some days it does. Other days it doesn't, totally random.

Do you have an adblocker on?

I think I figured it out and it's not adblockers or add-ins. I reported this using MS Edge, which allows every damned thing to infect a machine. So I switched to Librewolf, which blocks so much that most websites down't work, and there it was fine!

Then I went back to Edge, looked at a post I made in Librewolf with bold text, and only then I could see that I was somehow in BBCode Mode. And then I was able to switch it off. So, it's BBCode Mode that's actually glitchy. Somehow puts the editor in a state where BB tags aren't visible, and the editor buttons are all disabled, so the editor's effectively deadlocked.

Too frickin weird.

You have disabled BBCode preview.
On the right side of the panel, find a button looking like [ ] and press it. It might be hidden under 3 vertical dots if you are on mobile.
And as this is a local change only (meaning, it stays in your browser), changing device/browser "fixes" it. But it will "return" when you go back to the browser you disabled it on.
