I’m finally finished with the draft for one of the main character’s companions I’ve been introducing in my ‘Draft Idea’ posts. This is a card system battle academy that has students join together as ‘squads’ for various missions.
Side note: The character ‘Valry Vagabond’ that was originally supposed to be introduced early on has been changed. I’m thinking of switching out of a member of the five-man band later on in the academy years to show their team compatibility with different types of people.
The final draft I’ve decided on doing is this:
— Name: Alice Aegis
Race: Artificial Cambion
Current State: Sealed by Sacred MysticTools.
Physical Traits: The current artwork doesn’t show it but she is supposed to have card symbols like ‘Spades’, ‘Hearts’, ‘Diamonds’, and ‘Clubs’ on her left hand. Her eyes will be recoloured to be purple, but keeping her ‘gothic’ appearance.
Backstory: A prototype super soldier that ended up a failure, but had provided intel to the Final Boss about an extinct species that he’d never seen on Earth. ‘Demons’ have incredible healing and destructive power, but it seemed like Evil Mana also affects a person’s mentality.
The more Evil Mana she possessed, the more uncontrollable she became despite possessing great strength. She’d only regained her human traits after playing two MysticTools on her: ‘Agonised Chastity’ (lip piercing) and ‘Solidus Security’ (black choker/collar).
Both of them completely restrict the circulation of Evil Mana in her body, which was enough to revert her into a human form. She is equipped with prototype weapons meant for experimental use. One of them being a sword; ‘False Liberty’.
Although not a ‘masterpiece’, her usefulness is recognised and she is sent to learn from the academy and complete her training. Once it is complete, she will directly be put into the frontlines with no hope of surviving whatsoever.
A disposal tool to the Final Boss.
Her name is a mixture of the names that her secret weapons inherited, which she is only permitted to use when following orders. Even having a complete set just for acting as a ‘Ninja’.
Personality: She was influenced by an unloving environment from a young age. Never having ever experienced love or affection from others had made her cold and distant, but this meant that she also had zero resistance towards love.
The type who suddenly gets startled when anyone praises her, only to convince herself to not feel moved by compliments, as it would get in the way of her duties as a disposal soldier. It’d take a lot for her to learn to care for herself.
Conclusion: I’m satisfied with how she turned out. I’ve been able to plan our intrinsic ties she has towards her team both externally and internally. Her no-nonsense but weird attitude will also balance out the others in a way.
Probably will be either the ‘The Smart Guy’ or ‘The Heart’/Chick or ‘The Big Guy’ of the group with her ninja abilities.
What do guys think of this design? Felt like sharing it since it took some time creating her.
Will try to photoshop the image a little to fit her story design, but I’ll probably only be able to change her eye colour. Her glasses are purely for decoration and were put on to look smarter. It’s just her cute way of putting on a disguise.
