So as the title suggests, I have three works published here. Two of them, Mad World and The Burning Desire To Save, did decently well in a light novel competition, although neither won (MW made it in the top 80 out of 400+ entries and barely missed the top 20, and TBDTS made it in the top 20 but just barely missed the winners). The third story, The Hauntings That Follow Us, is a work in progress and will be submitted to the next iteration of the contest. You can read and review any and/or all of the three below.

Description: When magical beasts cross into Japan through portals, magical huntresses (and some magical huntsmen) are there to slay them. Consisting of a group of teenagers and young adults working semi-independently under the guise of the Protection and Research Agency, they fight day in and day out for a variety of reasons, using special rings to transform and gain weapons to use in their battles, for which they get paid for each magical beast they kill and bonuses if they save anyone attacked by them.
One particular magical huntress, the sword-swinging orphan Ruka Kishio, is asked to join a small group of these hunters led by the charismatic Hana Miyashita, who herself wields a katana and is descended from former nobility, after Hana sees Ruka easily kill a beast by herself while on lunch break from school. Ruka, a girl with a troubled and at times traumatic past who usually fought alone, accepts after barely losing a sword duel to Hana. She soon finds herself bonding with the other members of the Fox Knights, in particular their second-in-command and only boy Yoshiro Arikawa despite the two of them frequently arguing, and she also finds herself becoming its third-in-command and primary trainer as they battle magical beast after magical beast.
However, Hana has deeper ambitions to restore the honor of her family name, and she aspires to attain power by any means necessary. Can Ruka help Hana with her dreams, or will she be swept up in them?
Mad World was the first one I began to write, starting so in April in 2023. It is heavily influenced by two of my favorite anime/manga series, those being Madoka Magica and Berserk. It was actually once on RR, but I had to remove it due to some of the darker themes present in a chapter despite portraying them in (in my opinion) a serious light that very clearly condemned such actions. As such, for those who may not be comfortable with topics such as sexual assault, domestic abuse, adultery, homophobia/transphobia, and graphic violence, exercise caution.

Description: Seven girls from the Harukawa Girls' Academy are members of the Harukawa Fire Brigade's Student Firefighter Program, which dates back to the Second World War and has been an integral part of the community for years. Among them include Student Council President Tomoko Morishima and her little sister Rumiko, the daughter of a past fire chief and current brigade captain Yui Kitagawa, pianist and composer Shiori Koda, school swim team members Ayumi Tamura and Naoko Amano, and orphan and fire survivor Sumire Suwabe. All of them receive the same training as the older volunteers and respond to the same calls as them, with the only female lieutenants in the brigade, HGA alumni Kana Hoshizora (who also works as a paid firefighter-paramedic) and Masako Yamada (who works as a secretary for the village government), acting as their unofficial mentors.
However, a new principal at HGA wants to abolish the program, much to the chagrin of the fire brigade and many in the community. Additionally, Lieutenant Yamada's marriage begins to crumble all around her. Can the brigade save the Student Firefighter Program? Can Lieutenants Yamada and Hoshizora brave the trials of life in their thirties?
No matter what happens, though, all of them will continue to rush to the firehouse when the siren blows and answer calls for help from their neighbors.
This one is a bit personal to me. I am a volunteer firefighter-EMT, and while not everything in this story happened to me directly, all of it is based on actual emergencies that have happened to some capacity. Though the story itself was written in late 2023, its origins date back far, far earlier to a now-abandoned Love Live Sunshine fanfiction with a similar premise. While it does not get as dark as Mad World, exercise caution if you are not comfortable with medical gore, divorce, and detailed descriptions of injuries and death. That said, it has more comedic moments than Mad World. After all, firefighting isn't all dreary and dark all the time. We still have plenty of fun in between the calls and drills

Description: My name is Takeo Nakamura. I came face-to-face with ghosts as a teenager, and ever since, I've been on the hunt for the paranormal, starting in my town of Volendam, New York. I am joined by my girlfriend and fellow investigator Ashley Yoon, our best friend, fellow investigator, and medium Marie Desmond, and our equipment techs Yukiko Nakamura (my little sister) and Jared Unser. The five of us will investigate reports of the supernatural from the benign to the dangerous. Sometimes, what we find can follow us back. These cases are the fruit of our labor, and our experiences.
The "baby" of the bunch. This story was inspired by four things:

The "baby" of the bunch. This story was inspired by four things:
- My experiences meeting with paranormal investigator Jack Kenna and doing an investigation with him of a theater in my area
- A very old Corpse Party fanfiction from years ago I made
- Experiences relayed to me by several people I know, in particular one friend of mine who is a good chunk of the inspiration behind Marie Desmond (one of the investigators)
- The area I grew up and still live in in upstate New York, with mostly fictional locations but a select few real ones
