SIDE WITH OAK.jpg
Here is the synopsis of my story:
( Book 1 Completed) A young arbolarbre (Treeman) called Oak Quercus must stop his carnivorous mad King (Xidor Cedre) from sending his nation into a war to feed his gluttony for flesh and his sudden quest for immortality.

However, he will have to face opposition from his vegetarian countrymen with diverging opinions on how to stop the King's madness.

Discover it in the first book of the Arbolarbres chronicles

Haven't read it, but the synopsis paints a weird story.

This random guy needs to stop a mad king, but why him? Typically some relation to why is given, Like he's the nephew of the king, or he's found some royal treasure and is now responsible. As I said I didn't read the story, so it's probably explained there, but the connection should still be given in the synopsis.

Also the needing to make his parents proud is usually a comedic line which contrasts with the dark undertone implied with having a mad king seeking immortality. So I don't know what thematic elements the book will have. Will it be a comedy, or something more serious? This is just me rambling, but knowing the tone of the book is important. As I am getting mixed signals.

It's more of a tragedy but start off a bit comically in the first two chapters. It gets way more serious over time.
