Feedback is great, but the feedback from statistics is more insightful for me.

This is the second site I'm posting my novel on. I have only been writing online for a few months, and post as I write. At first I was desperate to get comments.

Now I find that my statistics are enough. Follows, reviews etc. are great for making your story more visible but mine will not be an ongoing saga with hundreds of chapters. Therefore I'll probably never see my work at the top of the ratings. However I've had about 700 people view my first chapter and at chapter 50 about 300 are still reading. When I post daily, over 60 people read the chapter within 24 hours. (This is on Royal Road.)

I hope to have the same success on this site. I think if 50% of my viewers continue to read, that is great! If the numbers were more like 10-30% I'd probably stop and reconsider my writing style.
I've learned a lot through this process and look forward to learning much more!

Of course, good feedback is honest comments born from the reader's concern. It's not empty, deceptive praise. Unfortunately, you (especially new writers) will encounter the latter type of feedback more often.

That's fantastic! I hope to achieve your success too. You're doing a great job. I started publishing this week and today is my third chapter. Today I found this platform and migrated my content here. I hope to share my stories with lots of people too.
