We're more than halfway through Spooky Month. Think back to when you were young enough to go trick or treating. What was your favorite thing to find in your candy pail at the end of the night?

For me, I've got a soft spot for cheap candy. Nobody ever gave away high quality stuff in my neighborhood, so I grew up associating Halloween with Smarties, Tootsie Rolls, Double Bubble, and Dumdum Pops. I was also that weird kid who actually liked candy corn. But my favorite cheap candy were those little boxes of Dots. You might get your teeth superglued together, but it was the tastiest glue ever made.

On any day other than Halloween, though, i would commit murder for a Reese's.

I didn't really have one. I only went trick-or-treating a handful of times. hated dressing up in costume more than I liked going out and getting candy. The best year I had, though, was the second year my dad was in the air force. He had us come in and he just scanned my candy with the luggage x-ray machine. That was fun. I liked getting to hang out in the terminal with all the service folks. If they finished their work early, they'd bring in an xbox and I'd just sit around playing halo with them most of the night.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane! :blob_joy:

By the time Trick-or-Treating became a thing in my area, I was already at the age where I'm the one that's supposed to give candy, I'm not even that old lol. I liked sour patch as a kid so I gave them too but only the older kids liked them.

I have always had a soft spot for chocolate. However, I also like some of the more old fashioned candies like pop rocks. I don't eat much besides chocolate nowadays, but I'm still sentimental about it, so I actually had my character make a line of cute dungeon monster themed retro candy in one of the recent chapters I wrote for Patreon. I just really love food, I guess. ?
