So I'm wondering what the rules for fanatics are. I'm currently about to finish volume one for my light novel and I plan on writing a helldivers/war hammer style fanfic as a way to get past some writers block I'm having. What are the limits and what can I not do?

I'll start with the first rule. One, you can't monetize someone else's IP. If you try to sell whatever fanfic you made, the owners can come after you. You can post it for free or possibly accept donations (on Patreon or SubscribeStar) for the labor, but you can't sell the story if you don't own the IP.

just label it as a fanfic and which fandoms you will be using... As long as you are not trying to sell it as your own original work, or profit off it behind paywalled chapters, there shouldn't be any legal issues...

Understandable. I wouldn't want to take money from arrowhead anyways they deserve it for the masterpiece they created

Just post your Fanfic and don't worry too much about the details. Anyway, like Julia said, labelling it correctly helps you immensely as you get way more readers.

It's my first action style novel so I wouldn't expect it to be good.
