It's almost turkey time everyone! So you know what that means? For your entire family to show up at your house, eat your food, destroy your toilet, and bring up religion and politics when nobody asked. Looking at you Uncle Eric; and for the uninvited family to show as well to make everything awkward. So gather around the coffee table, because the dining room has no room, and tell me.

What are you dreading this coming thanksgiving, and what thanksgiving horror stories do you have to tell?

I have a 22-hour drive to my dad's house so I can spend time with him and my extended family. Then I have a 19-hour drive to my mom's house a week later so I can spend time with her and all 9 of my younger siblings. Then I have to drive another 5 hours back home a few days later so I can be at work again. I would fly but I told my grandma that I would bring the Christmas presents she got for my siblings with me so she doesn't have to pay the shipping fees.

Nine siblings!? What, were you raised on a farm?

My family did end up moving to a farm. Though I actually spent most of my childhood traveling America in a travel trailer because we were fairly poor. Imagine that small of a space with 5 other people. My youngest sibling turned 1 this past year. I'm the oldest at 21 and my mom just turned 40 this year. Though I do have a half-sibling that's older than me out there somewhere. Never met her though.

Alright, storytime. I was born to my mom and dad after an accident involving weed and alcohol. They got married at the age of 18 and 19 and acted like it was completely on purpose. two years later my brother was born. when I was 6 my parents got divorced and my mom married my dad's best friend. (they're still friends... surprisingly) My dad also got remarried. 4 years later my mom had another kid and so did my dad. 2 more years later and my mom had another kid and so did my dad. my dad got a vasectomy after that. my mom then went on to have 4 more kids. I cut the cord for 4 of them and was in the room for a total of 6. I never want kids.

I'm American so I guess it's a reason for some of us to get together and eat.

We're staying in our bubble for Thanksgiving since my baby is not old enough to be vaccinated. Thankfully, my parents live immediately next door and count as part of our bubble now. Last year, Husband and I were in a one-bedroom apartment while our house was being built, so we exchanged some food and washed our hands a lot after handling the containers, reheated it in the microwave, but did not eat with my parents.
