For me, I link actual songs on the "author's notes" section at the bottom, but sometimes, I feel they just don't fit some of the characters and more on how I "vibe" with them. The first example where I feel like it does fit the character is this chapter:

Thunderstruck by AC/DC always felt poignant to the protagonist I created since he shoots lightning from his fingertips and is a cocky brawler with barely any sense of imminent danger.
Then, there's the second example where I feel conflicted about my music choice, especially on the latest chapter:

I chose Viva la Vida by Coldplay mostly because I introduced a king-type character, not because I thought of a full backstory for him in the future. But since I do love this song, maybe I can use it as a template.
As for the other characters, I'd say their leitmotifs are fitting enough, even if I had to use a Bastille song that isn't Pompeii.
