So for xianxia readers, be it in ancient or modern times, there will always exist a family out there trying to:
A. Kill MC for his knowledge, weath, power and training techniques, bonus if they frequently done this shit to others and had succeeded.
B. Having notions on that they lord over others' lives and it is blasphemy that people, especially MC, that they fight back.

There have been some JP novels on otherworld corrupt nobles eyeing MC's profits, those also counts.

So right now I would like to ask whether there are any examples on western themed novels with the same type of family, the answer should be YES, and whether you can provide me the name of novel, thanks.

Ps. Better if it is in the modern world.
Pps. Corrupt might be the wrong term, more like superiority/ god complex and a condescending view on those that are not in their wealth/ power bracket.

Well the novel I usually read that got me started on my piece is called Tales of The Reincarnated Lord. It's based on the Early Modern Era and deals with the things you described (if I remember right). But it stopped because of political pressure, though there are a lot of chapters and I enjoyed it for the most part. Sides from that, I don't really now any other western-themed story dealing with those kinds of families.

Hope I helped somehow.
