I have the thing I've been scribbling random parts into for a year now. The characters specifically being the Main guy and the now first major villain. Originally they were going to be a buddy-cop type thing before I branched that out to the superhero story I vent in. I was taking the Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers handshake meme and have the story focus on that. Now instead of the best of gym bro's and friends the MC became his own thing once I gave him a family at the start instead. Carl rip-off became an african warlord that is now a villain.
Another was a slice of life thing I never went anywhere with. It was going to be the first thing I'd publish until I realized I had no idea what I was going to do with it. The only points I had going for it was: guy transmigrates, he scams his way into a cheap property infested with a dungeon so he could have a home before he burned through his money(a diamond mouth-grill), he abuses modern farming methods using a resource from the dungeon everyone glances over (the dirt within it), gets a strong-willed female guard that hates his demeanor, MC uses a hammer because he can't be bothered to learn a real fighting style, random kid he adopts and teaches stuff, no idea why he's been taken to another world until stuff starts happening closer to home.
Now I cannibalize everything. Dungeon stuff and farming is for a second story I want to write that is a bit smoother than being action focused. The guard I was thinking of adding her in to what I'm writing now but, she doesn't really fit the setting. Think tsundere that isn't overbearing yet lovable. Taking time to be away from everyone is how I got the start for my current zombie MC. Instead of just because he has money and can abuse modern knowledge, it became a safety and security thing. Random kid became the kid for the bro story in the first paragraph.
