Does anyone else spend too much time making art for their story, rather than writing said story?

As your art is so high quality, I feel like you could excuse the longer wait time for chapters by including them as part of what you're offering. Even with whole teams of artists and such, only one panel / chapter per week being completed for mangas isn't uncommon. I've seen other authors with Patreons who add recordings of them reading their chapters since that's something they're decently good at. It adds a unique element that draws in readers and makes the story stand out more easily.

I'm new here so I had no idea that was a thing some people did!! That's actually an amazing idea if I decide to tweak my current set up!

I procrastinate enough generating ai art on free websites. I can not imagine how much more time would be diverted from writing if I was actually drawing. Getting to a reasonable level of proficiency in one art form took long enough.

How about you apply for the BL Palace BL newsletter to get your CP drawn as Chibi and advertised in the next newsletter issue? Absolutely free, either have someone draw it for you or advertise your own art

You may get new readers that coerce encourage you to write more or you goof around us other BL writers in the BLP discord. (We BL enthusiasts, writers and artists have hidden ourself in the server and always need new blood!)

If I was like this I would have definitely made my novel into a webtoon by now lol. I like drawing but I find that drawing is more labor than writing some words down.

I would have loved to do that really. But commission artwork is my job, and if I drew as much as a webtoon needed I would be destroying my wrists ?

Writing is easier on the body for me than art!

Though this doesn't stop me from the occasional self indulgent artwork
