Does anyone desire advice for sci fi and/or space themed novels?

Long story short, I enjoy helping people find resources for their writing, or giving some of my own expertise. While I can definitely help with fantasy, I thought I'd use this thread here for sci fi.

Simply post questions on topics within writing sci fi. Maybe you need help coming up with an interesting setting. Maybe you want some advice on how to fill your world with things that make it seem more sci fi.

I hope that others can also jump in and help, but as for me, my realm of expertise is as an armchair rocket scientist. I have knowledge extending from the early days of rocketry up to the current trends in spaceflight, and I can give pointers on how to make more far off theoretical sci fi seem more plausible.

I do not know how popular sci-fi, at least in its traditional form, is on scribblehub, but I'd love to see a spark in it. Maybe I can help give some inspiration! Whatever your thoughts, post them below!

(or if you just wanna chat about nerdy stuff I can do that too)

My main interest as far as Sci-fi is anything to do with Mecha. Say, a Military Sci-fi in a similar vein as Gundam which Mecha are the process by which first-world countries or similar political entities wage war.

As an entusiast, these years are going to be crazy. Really looking foward to Artemis.

Tossing reality out of the window, as a reader I'm in mainly for kingdom/army building or The Martian kind of stories.

Mecha side, Gurren Lagann and Aldnoah.Zero are branded in my soul.

Edit: Escaflowne too, plus a bunch of famous olds (Mazingas, Jeeg, Daltanius). Oh, and obv Evangelion.

P.s.: all of this to say I will follow the thread.

The biggest thing I'm following right now is Starship, but everything space is going crazy now. In the next two years a ton of new rockets are coming online, this year will be the first all civilian human spaceflight, and we just barely had Perseverance land on Mars (with ingenuity preparing to fly.)

I am not very familiar with mecha stuff, but I am quite a sucker for stuff like the Martian. Right now the Sci fi I'm reading is Skyward. Somehow, it has done nothing crazy new in terms of Sci fi concepts, but it's still a really good read.
