"As I pushed the door open into the professor's room, the sounds of monotonous metallic ticks grew more clear and apparent to my ear. The moment I stumbled in, a breeze of fresh cool air blew past by my face. I scanned around to search for the professor but there wasn't a single soul in sight. Not even the sounds of a person's footsteps on these intricately patterned floorboards were heard as well.

Perhaps I needed to explore the claustrophobic room a little more in order to find her.

Looking around, the walls of the place seemed quite worn down as foundational bricks were revealing themselves through the wall's cracks and gaps. There were also looming filled shelves place along the walls that almost seemingly took up most of the space of the room. Above my head, there was an incandescent light bulb, stringed to the ceiling by a thin strand of metal. There must have been a switch somewhere around the room to activate it. I've also managed to locate the sources of where the ticking clocks were using the combined senses of my hearing and sight.

Right ahead there was fully opened window with a bowl of oranges settled on the base. Maybe this was where that breeze of fresh air blew from earlier.
"

Okay that's all I can do for now. :blob_salute:

-Cracked walls, showing bricks
-Light bulb hanging from above
-Looks crammed
-A dusty looking Globe
-Stacked books on study tables
-Shelves
-Photos (of relatives. I think...)
-Ticking Clock
-Opened window, providing fresh air
-Intricately patterned wooden floorboards
-A Rocking Chair

Seems like one of those classic old homes or places. A lot of things have been piled up there over the years, and not much has been thrown out since the owner is reluctant to part with any of those possessions, even if they're not really worth anything.

Looks like a crowded library filled with books and whatnot.

it's an actual atelier....
That's what I thought when i saw there's 2 breakers and a few clocks hanging on the wall, and also some lightbulb positioned at weird position each. I mean, people wouldn't need that many clocks in one room except if he's using it for other thing beside telling the current time.

and let alone the bookshelves, lots of books are stacked just like that on the floor and I have to mind my step while walking towards the windows, the room owner seems like just having their afternoon tea time with some cookies.

things bothers me since i saw the scenery outside the windows, i can see some greenery in the front of the windows, and i know for sure, that the view of town district are to the right. Yet, the chair isn't positioned to view neither of them, it instead being put diagonally to the right of the window, so it would be able to see the scenery of the left side of the window just by turning your head to the right by a bit.

I move away the purple napkin that was hanging on the armchair, then i sit on it.

ahhh, so this is what it means. i finally understand why this mad scientist put the chair in this direction.

Entering his father's study, he could've sworn he'd stepped back in time, but the clutter of the drab, modern town beyond the stately window advocated otherwise.

It was a crowded, yet stately room, with a grandfather clock set like a sentinel by the tall window, puzzling instruments beckoning for his touch perched upon the shelves, and books piled up in twisting spires. A graceful mess, as he would say when charming his mother into sparing his room from her hoover.
