Death battle tournament anonce.

Guys. I have an idea. I want to organize a tournament here on the forum. The point is this. I take a random volunteer and start spinning the wheel. The wheel will decide who the participant will be. His race, ability, weapon, amount of mana, physical abilities, iq, etc., also using ideas for my future project. Once we have enough participants, we will participate in the debate. Each one will fight each other one by one until only the strongest remain. I'll also write down the rules of what each aspect does. The question is how many are interested in this. It will be sad if no one is interested. And am I breaking any rules by doing this?

what do you mean by "participate in the debate" what are we debating? Why would stats and whatever matter? The entire point of a debate is to find the truth of something not to win.

In this case I think the truth is, which set of attributes/skills/etc beats out which other set.

Weirdly enough, this seems intriguing, though I'm a little skeevish about the randomised stats bit. I feel something like a general point buy, or at least the option to go "this is my good stat, this is my dump stat" to at least influence RNGesus.

More importantly, I think people should be able to roughly decide themes for their abilities (For instance, a core feature of my SHF/older persona is "the less HP I have, the stronger my Fire is, because Fuck You I Have Spite.")

I'm imagining it's like those martial art debates in wuxia novels except the participants have no clue what the fuck they are doing and just throwing shit on the wall to see what sticks in order to win. The only superpower required is the ability to gaslight the opponent into admitting defeat.

Vaguely interested. But I think Mauler already did this when he pitted the top 200 fictional characters against each other in an elimination tournament. I still say The Doctor got ripped off. Of COURSE, The Doctor could kick Santa's ass. Jeeze.
