Basically a cyberpunk inspired story in which the MC dies (or whatever way you want to go about it) and reincarnates with a system meant for the player (something went wrong with the players reincarnation thus a NPC ended up with it) everytime he kills someone a midnight black coin with a crimson red skull on it appears which can be exchanged in a system like shop for abilities, upgrades and even summons. This was a old project of mine that I scrapped and redone a few times and never truly finished, so if anyone is interested they can pick it up. I'll put a info dump for worked out things below which people can use as they wish.

Information

Gangs

Cupido
The Cupido's although one of the bigger gangs in the city are quite weak for their size. They don't hold much territory but have a strong revenue/income. They own the most popular bar and specialize in the production and trading of DDV's and DDP's. Deep dive video chips are essentially chips that allow you to directly deep dive into a recording and experience everything, sensations included from a first person perspective.

Deep dive programs similar allow you to enter a program, which can be anything from a porn game to training programs.

The Cupido's have some guards in their service but the majority of their muscle comes in the form of mercenaries. The gang was established to protect prostitus against violence and the horrible job conditions they're usually forced into.

They have a dislike towards the jade fangs since they operate dollhouses in the entertainment district.

Cybermensch
Cybermensch is a gang that was originally founded by German immigrants that had a obsession with transcending beyond the flesh, becoming a ubermensch thru cyberfication.
These days it's more of a culture, people that want to leave behind their flesh bodies and become fully metal are often part of this gang.
The gang doesn't have much revenue sources and primarily earns its income thru fighting tournaments they organize as well as protection money from the turf they own. Besides that they dabble in a variety of things when they see a chance to earn some extra cash.

They're the only truly big gang that's known to buy cheap cyberware from vultures.

Countries
Soviet union

The Soviet Union was reestablished after the nucleair war. The Union is one of the few places in the world not owned and run by corporations. Every property and company within the Union is state owned.

Because of this most corporate influenced nations are heavily sanctioning the Union, which brings the quality of life within the country down.

The Union is also filled with a fair degree of corruption, instead of company politics people within the Union have to deal with union politics.

The Union is completely totalitarian with no room for any political group other than the communist party.

To make up for the economical damage received from sanctions the KGB has established a wealth acquisition department with the purpose of acquiring wealth from hostile nations thru any means necessary.

The Union is one of the major drugs exporters in the world, providing a large amount of supply to the Hydra Cartel Federation. The KGB also influenced vultures and does business with them.

Japan
Japan has a fair amount of fertile soil that didn't het ruined during the nucleair war which allows it to still produce organic food sources.

Lvl & Shop

Blood money: Killing things generates blood coins that can be spent in the shop. The shop offers 3 random items and can be refreshed for 25 coins (maximum of once per week unless upgraded). Shop automatically refreshes if all items within it are bought.

Killing human entities generates 10 coins. These coins appear in a neat stack above the user. They're crimson red with a black skull.

LVL: Every lvl increase gives a stat point that the MC can use to upgrade stats. Every 5 LVLs generates 3 random reward choices to choose from.

Party: Gives the player acces to a 5 man party. NPC's added to the party can gain XP and respawn at respawn points like the player does. Every respawn charges the player a 100 blood coins. Respawn locations are places the NPC has slept.

NPC management: Unlocks NPC management which allows the player to recruit NPC's directly from the game or from the blood shop. The NPC's wages etc can be managed thru the NPC management tab. NPC's recruited thru the blood shop are generally loyal and only accept payment in blood tokens. NPC's recruited from the blood shop can LVL up like the player does and can be respawned for 100 (+10 per lvl) blood coins.

Bank: Allows the player acces to his own independent bank system. The system is immune against any form of tempering and tracing and can be used to pay out wages globally. NPC's which are given acces to this system can deposit and withdraw currency from anywhere. The player can set taxes or transferring ratios for the bank.

Blood coins: Anyone who touches a blood coin will find a blood coin on top of anyone they'll kill.

Skill shards: Makes skill shards appear in the shop which are the same as skills but for non player entities. Warning: NPC'S require a port in order to use the shard.

Cyber security: Makes the players cyberware immune to tampering.

Ghost: The player and everything originating from the blood shop doesn't show up on any camera's or recording.

Changeling: Allows you to take the form of any being you kill.

Devil's handshake: Cut your hand and that of a NPC and shake hands. If the deal is about to be broken or dishonored you'll instantly know. You'll also get the ability to track the NPC's location (only when the deal is broken)
Optional: hold a blood coin in between your palms when you shake hands. The coin will enter the NPC and upon breaking the deal the player can choose to let the coin consume the NPC's from within, turning it into coins.

Shop items:

Shop upgrade: permanently increases the amount of shop slots by 1. {100}

Gender bender: Allows you to swap between a female form and male form of yourself. {100}

Blood affiliation knife: Use this knife to cut your hand and someone else, shake hands and the being whose hand you shake becomes blood affiliated. Blood affiliated spawn coins by killing people, every kill equals 5 coins. The knifes requires recharging after use 50(+25 per living affiliate) coins are consumed upon recharging. Blood affiliated can be tracked by the player. {100}

Weapon absorption: This skill allows weapons to absorb a blood coin. Humans killed by this weapon generate a blood coin. {100}

  • Bloody venom: Gain a friendly parasitic being that feeds off blood and can be upgraded with blood coins. It starts out small but grows over time. {150}

1 Basic ability: You can track your friendly parasite.

2 Armour upgrade: The parasite can harden it's exterior to make it act like a sort of armour 0/3 {100-200-300}

Warning: taking damage harms your parasite weakening it and making it smaller. It requires blood to regain it's strength.

First upgrade makes it merge with clothing acting like a basic form of light armour that can stop 9mm rounds shot from range - second upgrade makes it capable of hardening under the skin, basically a form of subtermal armour. - Third upgrade makes it capable of stopping 9mm from close range and makes it semi effective against bigger rounds.

3: First aid, your friendly parasite will use its own biomassa to heal you weakening itself in the process. {100} {250} {500}
First upgrades makes your friendly parasite take over your blood, it'll continue the functions of your blood but will be able to heal you as well. It can stop your bleeding but healing any form of wound will take time.
Second upgrade makes it heal you quicker, it can wrap itself around your bones and even replace it.
Third upgrade: makes it able to merge with vital functions such as your heart and brain

4 Infectious: Allows your friendly parasite to infect one other being {250}

Infected beings can either coexist with your parasite to make use of its abilities or can be temporarily taken over. When the parasite takes someone over it'll nestles itself in their brain, it doesn't suddenly gain their knowledge but can control the hosts bodily functions.

Infecting someone requires your parasite to get into the hosts body. It can be transfered by blood or in case the player is in a male form as a STD.
Warning: When transmitted as a STD it'll replace and/or consume the sperm.

^^ above all considers a review an edit: make a skill or evolution that makes it able to infect digital things as a virus and to take over his agent and stuff. It's hacking capabilities should be expensive to upgrade so netrunners won't become useless. Maybe make difference between breaching and programming or let them choose a specialization? Programming being more defence and droid management focussed.

Unfinished chapter ( My idea was that this introduces his current life before he gets killed and basically goes back in time, allowing him to fix his past mistakes). You can also just do whatever else you want with it.

=======================================================================
Hearing the familiar but no less annoying ringing in his head as he woke up. Noah, with a flick of his thought shut the alarm ringing within his head off, and, slowly made his way out of bed. The alarm, which was a digital, small orange haired girl, projected into his vision thru the hud of his left cyber eye, huffed arrogantly and made the Cymbal's in her hand disappear.

She gave him the stink eye and dissipated, seriously, what was wrong with his digital assistant? Well, he knew what was wrong with it, he went to Luna for updates and that woman liked messing with him. So now he was stuck with an PA (Personal assistant) with mood swings, he was pretty sure the thing was acting up because he hasn't gotten her laid as of late.

The thing was annoyingly smart. It wasn't AI level smart since that was stupidly illegal, but it was a deamon, which was like a hard coded AI. It wasn't capable of evolving beyond it's base program like a true AI could but the programming itself was pretty advanced, a daemon like this would cost far more then he was willing to spend on a simple PA (personal assistant). It's only because this was something Luna had made herself that he accepted such a advanced PA.

He wanted to check the time but was quick to realize he couldn't pull it up in his hud, so after releasing a sigh he asked his PA. The deamon eyed him for a moment, as if considering whether to comply or not after which it finally showcased the time. It was 12:00 which was late for a workday, which meant his internal alarm got disabled.

He seriously doubted a net-runner somehow hacked his PA, considering the type of ice Luna had installed to protect his limited cyberware. That really only left one woman that could've messed with his alarm. Considering his wife didn't wake him up they were probably in league with one another.

Putting his speculation aside, he got out of the fancy king's bed and went from his room to the attached shower room. After a quick shower he put on a pair of camo pants, made of ballistic weave, a green army shirt and a jacket, topped off with a tactical vest. He filled it with mags for his MSG.

He wasn't a soldier but the SandCity Militia, basically a gang of sorts, which he was part of, always wore military styled clothing, and as a higher up within the organisation he was expected to look the part. He used to feel a little silly, especially since he wasn't the best combatant, thanks to his lack of cyberware.

In this world where advanced technological implants were the norm, a guy like him that didn't have a high tolerance for them didn't stand much of a chance in a real fight. Sure, he could handle a gangbanger or two but a gang soldier with proper training and advanced cyberware would be way beyond his league.

The only reason he made it this high up is because his current wife was a Lieutenant within the organisation. The gang followed a military like structure that went as follow: Colonel ---> Captain ---> lieutenant ---> sergeant --> corporal ---> private --> trainee.

The colonel was the leader of the militia, with the captain acting as co leaders under that are lieutenants that manage their own group and sometimes area and are assigned tasks to complete by the higher ups.

Lieutenants also pick their own ' co leaders ' which are sergeant, under sergeants are corporals which are usually the little heads of 2/3/4 man groups. A private is a official militia member that has completed a basic training and has proven himself, they're on a fixed payroll while trainees usually get paid per job until they've proven themselves enough in the eyes of a sergeant(+) to get fixed employment.

Lieutenants had a lot of flexibility within this structure, having the freedom to assign sergeant and corporals within their group as they wished. His wife had made him a sergeant within her group, which pretty much made him a minor leader within the overall structure of the Militia.

He looked into the mirror one last time, ensuring his hair was properly done. He would've been a wet dream for imperial German extremists with his blonde hair and blue eyes, if it wasn't for the cat ears peeking out.

Not that he cared about a empire on the other side of the ocean. He finalized his look by putting on his barret, which had holes in it for his feline ears, just like his camo pants had a hole for his tail. He wasn't born with them, but in his younger days he had the great idea to become a exotic, which were essentially people that underwent surgery or took on biomods to sculpt themselves into a form of demihuman or even full on animals. There were entire communities and even cultures build around this.

' I'm getting old '

He didn't look old, no, Noah was 35 right now and had plenty of access to bio sculpting to appear as young as a teenager, still, he just didn't feel like it, after everything that happened. The loss of his parents, his sisters suicide, everything. Even 15 years later he couldn't help but feel he could've done things differently.

If only he had met Hiromi in real life sooner, made use of his contact with her in the game they always played online as kids to meet her rather then skipping her in favour of more bold girls. He would've had acces to better resources, could've saved his sister sooner and thus prevented her from killing herself.

Fucking cyber mensches, he was still hunting the remnants of that organization to this day.

Putting those nasty thoughts aside he gave himself one last look in the mirror after which he made his way out of the bedroom and went towards the kitchen to get something to eat.

On his way he was greeted by a pleasant smile.
