So I’m opening a debate thread because it’s been a long time since I last debated with someone. My hormones are going crazy because of it 😭

Before we start, let me make some rules clear:

• No trolling
• No personal attacks
• No trash comments
• Please don’t use curse words — I don’t like them
• Debate logically, not emotionally

Now here’s the twist:

You choose the topic, and I’ll debate on it. If you suggest a topic, you can take whichever side you want.

And as for why this is in Community Games — the answer is simple:

Debating is a game for me. It gives me instant DOPAMINE!!!!!!!

@Enkiari delete this thread please 😭 😭

How about we debate whether cover images for web novels, if they present a single character, it should be the protagonist rather than the side chick.

What do you think?

Personally, I hate it when they do that because it is misleading; I end up thinking the protagonist is her, not some guy the author doesn't even want us to have a concept of what he might look like. I mean, this is about marketing vs. the integrity of the novel; it is signaling who is taking center stage, but it's actually behaving as clickbait.

I think it is fine as long as its a scene from the novel.

Yes, why not. Personally, I agree with you, but for the sake of debate, I’ll have to disagree. Sorry.

I don’t really think it’s necessarily bad. Marketing is way more important, and an author often wants recognition, not integrity — because integrity won’t make money.

Oh, now those are fighting words. See, I ain't in this for the money. So this is where we stand on different sides of the line in the sand.

That’s your take, because not every author cares about integrity. Integrity means nothing if it doesn’t make money

Their lack of integrity will lose them readers and potentially get them a charge back cost for false advertising.

But integrity means trust. If the readers can't trust the product they are investing in, then why would they continue?

See? The kitty gets it.
