The “First Arc Popularity Poll” went amazingly well in my opinion. I’ve settled on “killer of killers reincarnates into a slave who is forced to become a saint”. They don’t even give him a proper name and just call him Saint all the time.
At first his mother was a political hostage so he doesn’t get any wild ideas, but after years of seeing his compassion and lack of anger for his circumstances they decided that she wasn’t worth protecting anymore. Leading to her death.
The king was curious about the ‘Mother of the Saint’ and made her his concubine, but she died by poisoning before he could test if her bloodline could inherit The Saint’s ability. Which at this point is only known as ‘blood that cures ailments’.
This world has Holy Power and Mana but healing diseases is complicated. Most healers buff the bodies natural healing and can’t do anything more than that. Holy Water is the same. Only the The Saint could extend a 50 year old’s life to 90.
The inciting incident that starts his revenge isn’t being directly angered, but the dismissive way he was told his mother died. Being told to go about his regular duties while letting the Royal Family deal with burying his loving mother.
He loses his mind in anger and decides to kill someone. His ‘father’ who bought him from a slave trader.
In this life he wasn’t taught anything that could be dangerous and had a weaker body than those able-bodied knights, but the Killer of Killers didn’t need training to kill someone. Having a martial art that traded mental strength for an unreal amount of piercing force in his attacks.
Seeing his father carelessly indulging in his power as a Pastor of the Church, he struck.
His finger piercing the man’s forehead.
From there, he starts covering his tracks and using Holy Water to wash off any traces of blood on his person.
Despite not being a Natural Psychopath in this new life, he chooses to live using the same skills he had in his past life… but realises that simply killing everyone wouldn’t change this kingdom.
There are choices he can make for his goals…
Like before this is multi-choice so what’s chosen can be blended together.
