I can't respond towards your request immediately, but I can say that I'll start reading it today.

Looks interesting, because you promised suffering in the synopsis, and I'm edgy af so I'm attracted to fictional people suffering like moth to flame.

But, had to drop it when it began from the time the mc was a baby. Seriously, I hate when books begin with that, and there is usually no purpose to that.

Progression Fantasy (starting as a young kid and growing) is a genre I wanted to bring up, with the purpose of satisfaction when you watch the slow and change in characterisation, but only FULLY and PURELY satisfying you when at the end, you finally notice how much that change has taken in effect, and what kind of character is made through their experiences. It promises, pure satisfaction. It's a game of time, pure grind with very tiny but plentiful rewards in the middle, and it's understandable you wouldn't like that, but people do, a lot of people, especially does who've read Mushoko Tensei.

He will grow, he will suffer, small things, big things, turning points. He will learn, he will grind, he's gonna think of suicide, he'll experience everything a human would.

The purpose is complete bliss, and watching the mc grow into what he is the best, or worst. This genre promises amazing and slow character progression, with all the rewards being reaped in the end through "realization". The realisation of just how much the character has changed, all from little experiences.

And how it can reflect real life, the now. Us.

Reading progression fantasy, is making me take more leaps into life, do confident things I haven't done and change my habits. Because it's the small things that change everything. (One thing I've done is completely ignore the rules, and just fuck them - not all the time, but whenever it's acceptable or rarely unacceptable - . Also, writing this novel) it's mainly because, I'm starting to notice the detail of how one thing can change you, one habit or one goal. I'm starting to become a better person from the pathetic vermin I was before, and I'm happy. It's made such a insightful understanding into life, and how things work. (Of course, I don't take anything literally, just the philosophy of it)

And just like Progression fantasy, I'd like to reap my rewards at the end of my life, and gain that pure satisfaction.

(Of course, it can be argued that other genres do the same thing WHICH IS TRUE! But I look at progression fantasy and see it as a more broader way of doing this, giving more insight and a more wider way of observing this MUCH MUCH MORE CLOSER, and therefore making you realise much better and clearer. instead of the much more narrow - but still detailedly eloquent - characterisation from other genres unrelated to "progression fantasy")

Of course, this is purely my perception and philosophy on it.

Wow, I wrote a lot, I'm sorry, I'm not trying to fight you or anything! I'm just writing what I think of the genre of what I'm writing! You don't even have to respond to this.

But I understand if you're into short-term stuff. I'm not judging you, you do you. And I can relate, watching an MC suffer is also bliss.

I am not into short-term stuff. My favorite work of fiction is longer than the bible. I just don't like when the protags start as babies.
