Can't be replicated with the information you provided.
Please provide sufficient information on how to replicate it, where it occurs, what was the expected outcome and the one you get. Screenshots of your steps would be nice to have.
Also, saying "novel fanfic" tells us even less than "a bee farted on the equator." We aren't living in your head. Provide either the title or a direct link to it.

Seems like there was no problem at all then.
Ratings are not updated instantly, and you just jumped the gun.
