My name is Emerald, and I'm a beginner author who has started making a long-planed series called; Deities of Ruin.
About me: I'm just a 23 year old mountain hermitstruggling to find work who likes various anime, video games, gacha games, and books. I have always wanted to get into proper story writing, as I have only ever wrote down my own dreams as personal material to reflect on. Story writing is something I have been passionate about since middle school, but have always been too lazy to fully explore getting into it before now.
About Deities of Ruin: The inspiration for DoR came from a discord server run by a youtuber who no long makes content for that channel. It has turned into a closed-community-space where a lot of regulars hang out and talk about random things they always have. One day in the magical afternoon of February 2020, the server owner stepped forward and asked the community if anyone would like to hop on a fun project to work on together. This project being a group story, which quickly turned into something few have stayed around for as a very passionate project that I became the lead writer for.
DoR is a story made of up all our ideas put together after being ironed out. Starting out as a generic isekai into a steampunk setting, it warped into what it is now. A post-apocalypse struggle to get home from another world after having been tricked by a friend's old discord account to click on a suspicious link.
It is a pleasure to join this community, and I'd appreciate any and all feedback for this story, as I am trying to improve, but also just have fun writing it.
