Hello, I hope you're doing well. Okay, I'll get straight to the point.

I've been an avid reader of novels and fanfiction for a while now, like 8-9 months. So, two months ago, I mustered up the courage and wrote a Danmachi fanfiction.
Currently, I have 20 chapters (more like 18, and I haven't even started the canon yet), 7,000 views, and 118 readers, and I'm asking for advice on this forum (which I only discovered yesterday):

1: How do I create funny and engaging situations in general?

2: How do I create a coherent relationship that develops quickly enough so it doesn't drag on?

3: How is time handled in this kind of story? (In 18 chapters, less than 3 days have passed, and there's supposed to be a 3-week gap between his spawn area and Orario.)
4: Harem or no harem?

Well, I have a lot of other questions, but I'll try this post first to see how it goes before moving on to other questions. So, bye.

For the fanfic, the title is: Is it wrong to be a Pokémon Trainer in Tenkai and beyond?

Actually, your first two questions can be answered via a quick Google, Bing, etc. search with your question.

For the question of time, this will depend entirely on what your subject, Danmanchi, is like. You should obviously have a firm grasp on the characters and storylines in the series "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?", which is probably the top one. *^^* Go with what you know and love about the series, and create.

For your last question, harems are quite popular here, so if you're looking for more of a readership, go with the harem - but try to make it unique from others. ? There are a ton of harem works here, and you must strive to be different somehow. Give them something they haven't seen.

Advice that may or may not work.
1. Base it on real life experiences. (Tough luck if you were a loner.)
2. Base it on real life experiences. (Yeah... It's not going to get easier.)
3. If you're writing with a lot of important things happening within that 3 days, then it should be fine. (People wouldn't normally notice that it's just been 3 days unless you mention it.) However, if it was things that could've been easily skimmed like preparations before the departure and you're writing each and every item, as in, like the history of why it needs to be brought and when it can be used, then that would be pretty boring to read. (PS. The whole jojo part 5 was basically just 9 days if you count it.)
4. Can't answer this one clearly because this one could really derail how you want to write it. How about flipping a coin and betting on it? Once you threw the coin, you'll know what you want. (Whether to follow the coin is up to you, is what I'm saying.)

Practice and read. Really no "trick" to it. Some people can do this naturally, but for most of us, it takes practice, and a desire to emulate perceived masters. If you're going for absurdist stuff, the plays of Harold Pinter (a primary inspiration for the Monty Pythons) and Eugène Ionesco. For more "generic" engaging and comedic writers, Douglas Adams, Piers Anthony (especially the first ten or so Xanth novels), Sir Terry Pratchett and Peter David would be good places to start.
2: How do I create a coherent relationship that develops quickly enough so it doesn't drag on?
Do you mean romantic relationships or ANY relationships? Still pretty much the same answer (though avoid the absurdists for this).
3: How is time handled in this kind of story? (In 18 chapters, less than 3 days have passed, and there's supposed to be a 3-week gap between his spawn area and Orario.)
However the author desires. Seriously - most of mine take place over three-to-five days for each major arc. These arcs may take anywhere from 11 to 25 chapters. Don't be afraid to use time skips if things seem to be dragging, but don't OVERuse them either.
4: Harem or no harem?
If you feel more comfortable writing one or the other, go with what you feel comfortable with. If they feel the same to you, go with what you enjoy reading more.

It 5 AM were i live but I give me some really goods advice, and it seemed I'm thousands time better than in my beginning so it pretty accurate, for the relationship I don't think to make some absurdity so no problem, don't overuse for the timeskip, and I never really write on of those two ( I'm struggle with simple plot, so no time for romance now.) But it always half-half but I will make a choice.

Sorry if my English is bad now but I'm just woke up and a bit dizzy.

Bonjour fellow insomniac !

For me, what helps me form genuine interactions is :

1- Observe around you. Listen to the discussions you are having with your friends, to the things people actually say, and when you feel that your characters could totally say something like that, write it down. Only by taking real interactions as exemple can you write realistic interactions

2- Make each character unique. What do they like ? What do they dislike ? What is their voice ? Do they have small habits ? Do they have a peculiar way of speaking ? That way, you can write better interactions while also finding potential seeds of conflict (their personalities clash, one makes noise while eating but the other likes silence, one is always energetic and friendly but the other feels like he is taking too much space and pushing him to the side...) in the same way, you can use those details to form friendships or relationships

3- Plan the evolution. I'm not saying that you need to have a detailed plan for your story, a lot of people are fine without one (I like to plan but that's my thing), however you need to have an idea of what the relationship will become in order to have a gradual change. For exemple, you want two people to be lovers at the end, but currently they don't know each other. So first, they have to meet. Where ? When ? Then, they start knowing each other. How ? Then there is an event that happens and they grow closer. How ? How close ? What shows their growing affection ? Then there is event 2, etc... Planning the relationship will help
