Although the term "Victorian" isn't strictly accurate, I'll use it to group these iconic characters from the first half of the nineteenth century, limiting myself to the English-speaking world. Which ones are your favorites? If you like, also explain to me why and what you enjoy about them.
You can also suggest adding someone to the list; after all, I have indicated the first ones that came to mind.

Well, Sherlock Holmes was my first fav detective character. And, for Dracula, he was my whole childhood.

I really enjoyed Dracula, it was one of the first novel I had in English. Dracula the character was scary af, a looming threat in damper clothings. But what really got me into it was Abraham Van Helsing, he was just a silly old man who is also a badass, which is why I always include some sort of monster hunter or organization into my stories (its a mental condition like Envy's fixation with Vampire).

Closing words, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PORT BLOODBORNE TO PC—

Why is Doctor Watson is not on the list? Unironicaly, he is my favorite, because he is the one who gives us insight on Holmes. And he usually doesn't get what's going on until Holmes explains it, just like I do.

I have a fixation with vampires and other Victorian things. But, calling it a fixation is odd. It’s like asking why humans are so fixated on human problems.

Also, Dracula for the win.

Strange that you didn't vote also Carmilla; it was the first mainstream vampire story and the first one that can be considered GL.

Basil Rathbone was my favorite until that new guy took the stage on Masterpiece Mystery.
I'll never forget when Holme's was trying to bury the pain of losing his girlfriend and was shooting up,playing the violin.Watson looks at him and says,"I wish you wouldn't do that,Holmes."
Holmes doesn't even look up and says,
"Leave me alone,Watson."
That was so final! I saw it over thirty five years ago and never forgot it.
I watched Sherlock Holmes the series where he was played by Benedict. He nailed it ?
