Does anyone know any novels where MC belongs to a humanoid race (or joins one), but isn't actually human? What I'm looking for is unique properties innate to various fantasy-ish races (i.e. vampires/succubi or incubi) that aren't forgotten in 5 mins after they have been mentioned, or absent altogether (like when vampires don't really need to drink blood).

Long story short, I'm looking for novels in which MC has urges, needs, and behavioral quirks they cannot control.

Almost any story by Thundamoo will fit well, though her stories don't really feature regular fantasy races if you want them specifically. Bioshifter is probably the best match, tied with Are You Even Human but that one has only started recently.

Young Flame should be good, but it features an even more non-standard character.

Reject Human, Become Demon somewhat matches, but most of that story as of now is about controlling the urges she has so I'm not sure if you'll like it. She does go wild though.

Lost Souls and a Demoness as well as Changeling might also fit, but they have far less focus on that part.

Some of those are on Scribble, not sure which but if they're not here you'll find them on RoyalRoad.

It's fine if they're just difficult to control, so MC sometimes gives in, but mostly bottles their urges up. And thank you! I'm definitely going to try your recommendations.
'I Became a Murderer in the Academy' is great.
I think I'll try it, but I'm not really into evil protagonists. However, it does look promising, so thank you!
upd. I checked Sareza's review of the novel on Novel Updates, and it looks even more promising now. I'm definitely going to give it a try.

Ohh, I checked out Bioshifter, and it looks great. I can't thank you enough.

I was previously trying to write a gender bender story where the mc is a succubi but she doesn’t want to kill anyone, sadly it’s them or her and this causes a severe degree of trauma to plague her… I have paused rewriting the story due to low view counts. But I could probably pick it back up if you are genuinely interested in the idea of such a story

Everybody love largechests
(royalroad)

And i hate this series. (Same author that did a previous Fantasy yuri series, with a sci-fi girl crashing her ship)
MC is a "mimic" hence the pun in title.
Very dark, especially early some adventurers are EATEN.

Oh, I've already read it. Well, kind of. I had dropped the novel twice, because it was becoming somewhat monotonous after a while. And Woody doesn't really have any unique behavioral quirks, except for his lust for gold, I guess. I mean, he's a murderous animate chest alright, but it's kind of who he is as a person. There is no urges or needs the person must satisfy.

Physical books? Redwall and Circle of Light come to mind. No human characters at all.
There was also a novel called "Grunts" about orcs who stumble on modern weaponry.

On this site, Reborn as a Demon Hat looks kind of cute, and there is Skeleton King.

Bio-weapons Rhapsody might fit, not sure though
