Writing Prompt Becoming Great Old One in a Human ruled Universe

Premise: Unlike the distant billions of years, where mortal can only succumbed into madness in front of great and unfathomable beings, the humans of this era conquered the greater part of the universe by their own might, toppling those goliaths as they did so. The previous great beings of the universe was used to prosper the human race, or some killed due to their unquenchable hostility towards mortals—now the remaining old gods hid in the seams of the void, quivering in fear like a little prey in front of their predator.

However, the universe works in balance. Humans who's greed has no limit threatens the end of it, due to this reason it decided to give chance for a rise of an existence that has the chance of becoming the strongest being in the universe.

Task: Identify the main character outer and inner traits, Identify his powers and the power scaling in this universe, and if possible write an epic prologue.

It's not that I have a lot of energy, I've been procrastinating too. I just have too many ideas and started some, but after few chapters in I started feeling bored.
