I’m looking for story feedback on a new Webnovel I’m writing about a guy transported into his book.
You don’t need to read the previous entries before this to be up to date with the events but if you really want a refresher, just read the four chapters of Volume 0 and you should be good to go.
This is a little like Omniscient Reader in regards to how the MCs main power is literally knowing most of the supposedly ‘secret‘ stuff in this story and ends up meeting his own protagonist.
However, this isn’t your typical story he gets transported into as you would see a lot of parallels between the story he was transported into and Chivalry of a Failed Knight. Thought not JUST that Anime as it subverts a lot of those tropes you all know and love in Magic High School Stories where the protagonist is strong but isn’t acknowledged.
The dynamic I’m going with is that his Novel’s Protagonist is a Overdog (is strong but just not accepted and has outcast status), while the Omniscient Writer transported into the story is more of a true Underdog who uses his wits and cunning rather than brute force. And he will stay that way no matter how much stronger he gets to reach bare minimum fighting capability using his benefits.
The ‘witty solutions’ he often comes up with all boil down to acting innocent and being an assassin if things really got out of hand. Though not the average Japanese kind who can still somehow fight swordsman on even ground but the kind who will really use tricks and schemes rather than brute force. It fits quite well considering his personality is the most similar to Anansi, the African Spider.
Hope you guys will give it a chance. I’m finally writing a ‘fight scene’ after building up the Power System and giving examples on how things work in the first ten chapters. It will be epic!
