Would you rather have bad art or no art inserted in a story (especially a description-heavy sort like in romances)

I know not everyone on scribblehub has the luxury of their home country holding the world’s largest reserve currency (USD) , but if you want art and you’re not very good there is many good artists who will work for cheap. The market is very oversaturated which leaves average artists having to charge low prices to stand out from the crowd. If you have a few dollars to spare try checking out fiverr or Artists and Clients. You can get pretty decent art for pretty cheap.

Covers are tiny on here. Eh. Funny enough, since many covers here are lord/ladies medieval fantasy, anime, and such, a stick figure will probably pique my interest more since it stands out in that crowd.

But who doesn't judge and pick up a story by its cover? That would be pretty rare.

Thu really do stay for title and synopsis only.

Not frowning because I disagree, I do agree. It's just a shame that plenty of great artists struggle to stand out from the crowd and charge waaaaaay lower than what they are worth (that'd be going off topic though ?)

Would rather have no art at all. "Bad art", "bad writing", it's all the same and would drag the story down.

If we're talking covers, you get can microstock pretty cheap for like $0.50 a pop if you're willing to fuss with your own fonts and such. I do all my own covers this way. Some of them turn out pretty cool.
